Find It. Treat It. Eliminate It.
Successful odor remediation begins with identifying the source.
The OdorPros Professional UV Blacklight Flashlight gives odor-remediation, restoration and cleaning professionals a fast way to inspect rooms and surfaces for materials that fluoresce under ultraviolet illumination.
Rather than treating an entire room blindly, use the UV Blacklight as an investigative tool to help identify suspicious areas that warrant closer inspection, cleaning or treatment.
100-LED UV Illumination
The flashlight incorporates 100 UV LEDs producing ultraviolet light in the approximately 385–395 nm range.
The large 3.1-inch head provides broad illumination compared with small pocket UV lights, making the unit particularly useful when scanning floors, walls, furniture and other larger surfaces.
Built for Professional Field Work
A black aluminum housing gives the flashlight the rugged construction needed for restoration and cleaning work.
At approximately 8 inches long and 9 ounces, it remains compact enough to carry in a technician's inspection kit or vehicle while providing a substantial grip and large UV illumination head.
An included wrist strap provides additional security while inspecting rooms, furniture and difficult-to-reach locations.
Potential Professional Applications
The OdorPros UV Blacklight can be incorporated into inspections involving:
- Pet odor investigations — examine carpet, flooring and furnishings for possible urine contamination
- Odor-source investigations — help locate fluorescent residues that warrant further examination
- Restoration inspections — examine surfaces before developing the cleaning or remediation plan
- Bathrooms & restrooms — inspect around toilets, fixtures, floors and other problem areas
- Hospitality inspections — examine mattresses, upholstered furniture, flooring and bathrooms
- Property management — inspect apartments and rental properties between occupants
- Automotive interiors — examine carpeting, upholstery and cargo areas
- Commercial cleaning — identify areas requiring additional investigation or cleaning
- Carpet & upholstery cleaning — locate potential contamination before treatment
- Property cleanouts — assist in investigating unknown odor sources
Particularly Useful for Odor Professionals
UV inspection should be viewed as an investigative aid, not as a definitive contamination test.
Many substances can fluoresce under UV light, while some contaminants may produce little or no visible fluorescence. A glowing area therefore indicates an area requiring further investigation—it does not by itself identify the substance present.
That qualification is worth including. It makes the page more professionally credible and avoids the common—and incorrect—claim that a blacklight can definitively identify urine, mold or microorganisms.

Important Use Information
For the best inspection results, darken the room as much as practical. Slowly scan the surface while holding the UV flashlight close enough to distinguish fluorescence from ordinary reflected light.
When a suspicious area fluoresces, mark or otherwise identify the location for closer inspection before selecting the appropriate cleaning or odor-remediation process.
UV fluorescence alone does not identify a particular contaminant. Confirm the source using appropriate inspection procedures before determining treatment.
