Premeasured Cleaning and Deodorizing Power
Envirotab 1g Tablets generate an aqueous chlorine dioxide solution when added to water. Their compact, premeasured format makes it easy to prepare fresh solution as needed without measuring liquid concentrate or storing large quantities of premixed product.
The 1g tablet is especially useful for routine cleaning, surface-soil removal, and deodorizing applications where smaller batches provide convenient control over preparation and use.
Cleaning and Deodorizing Applications
Envirotab 1g solutions may be used according to the registered label for cleaning and deodorizing compatible surfaces in settings such as:
- Homes and residential properties
- Offices and commercial buildings
- Schools, colleges, and classrooms
- Fitness facilities and locker areas
- Restrooms and common areas
- Institutional and industrial facilities
- Retail and grocery environments
- Manufacturing and storage areas
- Carts, totes, crates, and compatible equipment
- Interior areas of vans, trucks, trailers, and transportation vehicles
- Agricultural, greenhouse, poultry, and animal-housing environments
- Compatible carpets, textiles, and other soft surfaces when using the label-directed Soil Break cleaning and extraction procedure
Remove gross soil, loose debris, manure, bedding, or other heavy contamination before applying a prepared solution where applicable.
General Surface Cleaning and Deodorizing
For general deodorization through surface-soil removal:
- Fill a clean PET container with 32 fl oz of water.
- Add one 1g Envirotab tablet to the water. Never add water directly to the tablet.
- Allow the tablet to dissolve before application.
- Apply with a PET trigger sprayer, flip-top bottle, or pre-charged microfiber.
- Let the solution remain on the surface for 30 seconds.
- Wipe the surface dry, removing the associated soil and odor source.
This procedure is intended for cleaning and deodorizing through physical surface-soil removal.
Lightly Soiled Hard Interior Surfaces
For lightly soiled, compatible hard interior surfaces:
- Add one 1g tablet to 32–64 fl oz of water.
- No detergent additive is specified.
- Apply using a pre-charged microfiber system or a bottle with a flip-top cap.
- Wipe the surface to remove soil.
This application is suitable for routine cleaning of compatible tables, counters, walls, fixtures, equipment, and other washable interior surfaces.
Heavily Soiled Hard Surfaces
For compatible hard surfaces with heavier soil:
- Add one 1g tablet to 16–32 fl oz of water.
- Add 1 fl oz of Synergy Soil Break.
- Apply with a pump foamer or pre-charged microfiber system.
- Agitate with a suitable brush or scrub pad.
- Rinse with water or remove the solution and suspended soil with microfiber.
The Soil Break additive supplies detergent action for loosening grease, grime, body oils, smoke residue, and other physical soils. It should not be added unless the applicable directions permit it.
Odorous, Soiled Soft Surfaces
For label-directed cleaning of compatible odorous soft surfaces:
- Add one 1g tablet to 32–64 fl oz of water.
- Add 1 fl oz of Synergy Soil Break.
- Apply with a pump foamer or pressurized sprayer.
- Pretreat and agitate the affected area.
- Immediately rinse or extract the surface.
This is a rinse-or-extract cleaning procedure—not a spray-and-leave treatment. Test an inconspicuous area before use, particularly on dyed, delicate, or moisture-sensitive materials.
Prepared deodorizing solutions should not generally be applied to soft or upholstered surfaces except by a label-permitted method. Do not use on surfaces containing natural dyes.
Understanding the Bacteriostatic Claim
Where a bacteriostatic application is specifically permitted by the registered label, Envirotab may be described as inhibiting or controlling stain- and odor-causing bacteria under the prescribed conditions.
“Bacteriostatic” does not mean that the cleaning solution kills bacteria, disinfects a surface, or sanitizes a surface.
Sanitizing and disinfecting are separate registered applications with their own preparation, pre-cleaning, concentration, application, and contact-time requirements. The cleaning and deodorizing instructions on this page should not be used to imply those separate claims.
Application Options
Depending on the particular label-directed procedure, prepared Envirotab solutions may be applied using:
- Pre-charged microfiber
- PRO-TAB compressed cloths
- PET trigger sprayers
- Flip-top bottles
- Hand-pump sprayers
- Pump foaming sprayers
- ULV equipment where specifically permitted by the label
Select the applicator, water volume, additives, dwell time, and removal method specified for the particular application. Do not assume that one mixing ratio applies to every cleaning or deodorizing use.
Important Handling Information
- Read and follow the complete registered product label before use.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when handling and mixing tablets.
- PPE should protect the hands, face, and clothing.
- Always add the tablet to water; never add water to the tablet.
- Avoid inhaling fumes during dissolution and application.
- Keep tablets in their original sealed foil packaging until ready to use.
- Keep tablets away from heat and moisture.
- Keep tablets and prepared solutions out of reach of children.
- Store prepared solutions only as directed and away from direct sunlight.
- Do not use prepared cleaning solutions on glass or surfaces containing natural dyes.
- Never dispose of tablets or prepared solutions into water containing fish.
- Use only at the sites, concentrations, and by the methods permitted by the registered label.
Important Cleaning Notes
Remove Heavy Soil First
Chlorine dioxide is an oxidizing cleaner and deodorizer, but it is not a heavy-duty detergent or degreaser. Remove loose debris, grease, soap buildup and heavy organic soil before expecting full contact with the underlying surface.
Test Sensitive Materials
Before widespread use, test the prepared solution in an inconspicuous area. Use additional care with:
- Natural or unfinished wood
- Dyed fabrics and carpeting
- Leather
- Natural stone
- Unsealed grout
- Reactive metals
- Delicate coatings
- Electronic screens and controls
Do Not Mix with Other Chemicals
Do not combine Envirotab tablets or prepared solution with bleach, acids, ammonia, detergents or other cleaning products unless a specific written procedure confirms compatibility. To create a detergent solution, we have carefully formulated and offer Synergy Soil Break - this product alone may be added to 100-400 ppm solutions at 1-2oz/gallon.
Use in Ventilated Areas
Avoid breathing concentrated vapors or mist. Use normal ventilation and do not remain in an enclosed area where chlorine dioxide is being intentionally released for air treatment.
Storage and Handling
- Store unused tablets in their original foil packets.
- Keep the pouch tightly closed and dry.
- Protect tablets from moisture, excessive heat and direct sunlight.
- Do not handle tablets with wet hands.
- Do not remove tablets from their packets until ready to use.
- Keep tablets and prepared solutions out of reach of children.
- Do not swallow the tablet.
- Avoid contact with eyes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does one Envirotab 1-Gram Tablet make?
One tablet makes approximately 32 fluid ounces of 100–115 ppm chlorine dioxide solution. Adding the tablet to more water creates proportionately lower concentrations.
Does Envirotab contain fragrance?
No. Envirotab does not rely on fragrance to cover odors. Chlorine dioxide reacts with many odor-causing compounds through oxidation.
Does it leave a residue?
The prepared solution does not contain the conventional surfactants responsible for sticky detergent films. Any loosened soil should still be removed with a clean microfiber cloth or rinse where appropriate.
Can Envirotab replace every cleaner?
It can replace several routine cleaners and deodorizers, but not every specialty product. Heavy grease, mineral scale and substantial soil may require a compatible detergent, degreaser or descaler before the Envirotab treatment. We do not recommend using Envirotab solutions on glass.
Can I use it with microfiber?
Yes. The 1-gram tablet is particularly well suited to microfiber spray-and-wipe cleaning. Use one cloth for damp cleaning and a separate clean cloth for the final dry wipe.
Can I prepare a stronger solution by using less water?
Use only concentrations supported by the product label or a documented application procedure. Stronger is not automatically better and may increase material-compatibility and exposure concerns. You may use this tablet in 16oz of water to create a solution of 200ppm for faster sanitizing action, but please refer to our other tablet sizes for alternative solution strengths.
Can the solution be used on fabrics or carpeting?
It may be used on compatible water-safe materials for odor-control applications but always test for colorfastness first and avoid over-wetting.
Is this the same as household bleach?
No. Chlorine dioxide is chemically different from sodium hypochlorite bleach. It works through selective oxidation and behaves differently in water and on surfaces.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Keep tablets and wet solution inaccessible to children and animals. Allow treated surfaces to dry and ventilate the space before normal occupancy. Always follow the product label. Once the solution is properly mixed, the solution is relatively safe - similar to hydrogen peroxide in hazard levels and use applications.
Why are the tablets individually packaged?
Moisture activates the chemistry. Individual foil packets protect each tablet during storage and make it easier to carry and dispense tablets without measuring.
